Kids & Youth

There are groups for all ages of children and young people. The groups are led on a rota basis by a committed team of leaders. Each childrens worker is CRB checked.

Junior Church and Crèche meet every Sunday except during the school summer holiday when there will be colouring/craft activities available in the church for the children to enjoy whilst being supervised by their parents.

We operate a fully-staffed crèche for babies and tots aged 3 and under in the crèche room upstairs where there are a variety of toys and activities available. There are changing and toilet facilities and parents are welcome to stay with their children. The service is relayed into the room.

The 3-5’s, 5 – 8’s (Yr 1 – Yr 3) and the 8 – 11’s (Yr 4 – Yr 6) meet downstairs in the back room/in the new room across the garden. We use the Scripture Union ‘Light’ material as the basis for our sessions which studies a variety of topics and themes, both from the Old and New Testaments.

Most Sundays will see us meeting together in the church for about 20 minutes before going into the back room where we play a couple of games altogether and then move into our separate teaching groups (within the same room) for stories, prayers and activities.

On the first Sunday of every month except August it’s Jumpin’ Beanz Sunday. This is a day when we don’t go into church but have the whole morning in the back room altogether. This gives us lots of time and opportunities to explore the Bible in different ways and to do varied activities including painting and cooking

As the young people move up to secondary school, they join the Youth Group.

The Friday youth group is for year 6 and above and is an informal session including games, tuck shop, devotion and prayer. Young people can also bring their friends if they wish to. We are looking to restart Friday youth on Friday 16th September and run this every fortnight from 7pm to 8.30pm.

Sunday youth is for 11-14 year olds where we run through more formal material from YFC with the young people and have group prayer.
